What do I need to bring?

You will need a laptop to participate in class exercises. We have a very limited number of extra laptops on site, so if you need to borrow one during class, please contact as soon as you register to reserve one. You can also bring paper and a pen if you'd like. Because classes are casual, feel free to dress comfortably.

Can I suggest a class?

Absolutely. We want to know what you'd like to learn, and if there is enough demand for it, we will consider a curriculum for it. Contact us to pitch your ideas, and join our learning community (it's free!) to get the latest on new and upcoming classes.

Where is TopFloorUniversity?

Classes are held at the offices of TopFloorStudio at 58 1/2 North Lexington Avenue in downtown Asheville. Directions >

Downtown?! Where can I park?

After 6 p.m. the parking meters are free. If you can't find a spot on the street, the Rankin Street and Civic Center parking garages are nearby. There is also a paid parking lot on the corner of Lexington and Walnut across from The LAB and The Southern.

Do your classes require prerequisites?

Most do, and prerequisites differ for each class. Check out our class descriptions for details.
